Enzo Maresca welcomed the “perfect night” for Chelsea after defeating Djurgarden 4-1 in the conference league semi-finals, but warned about their players despite a pleasant advantage.
Chelsea is a heavy favorite to win the third level of European football, and has taken another step towards the final in Wroclaw with a highlighted victory in Stockholm.
After absorbing an early pressure, Chelsea took the lead in the 12th minute when Jadon Sancho used bad defense, collecting the wise passing of Enza Fernandez and seeing that his effort in which Marcus Danielson had refused.
Noni Madueke shot in a well -treated second two minutes before halftime, and Nicolas Jackson then put Chelsea in complete command in the second half.
First, he ran into mixing between Danielson and goalkeeper Jacob Rinne to put the ball into an empty net, before the Senegal striker made a 4-0 exalted shot in the upper right corner from the edge of the area.
Isaac Alemayeho pulled one back to Djurgarden with a fine close range and, seeing Chelsea winning 3-0 in the first part of the quarterfinals, far from home only to lose then to Stamford Bridge to Legia Warsaw in the second, Maresca doesn’t take anything guaranteed by the leg next week.
“It was a perfect night. The semi -final, the important and the good result,” Maresca told TNT Sports.
“But we already have experience from Warsaw where we won 3-0 there, and then we fought a little, so we have to focus on the other leg.
“In an hour, 70 minutes, the show was good, and then the last 20 minutes we got down a little. Now we have to finish the job at home.”
In the second semi-final, Real Betis beat Fiorentina 2-1 in Seville. Abde Ezzalzouli and Antony gave Betis Command, before Luca Ranieri pulled one back to the side of Serie and to give them hope in the other leg in Florence.
Chelsea is also crowded in the Premier League Champions League qualifying race, with the Liverpool champions next to Men Mares at Stamford Bridge.
“We now have a game in three days,” Maresca added. “We will come to London for five o’clock in the morning, and Sunday we have a match, so we have to regain energy.”
