Manchester United took a giant step towards the finals of the UEFA Europa League with an extraordinary victory over the Athletic Club Bilbao in the first part of the semifinals.
Manchester United picked up 3-0 away from home in the first part, and they will be sure that they will do the job at home next week. Spanish clothing was completely outnumbered, and Manchester United on the way produced a clinical and disciplined performance.
Can Man United save their season?
So far, it was a disappointing campaign, but the victory of the UEFA Europa League could raise the spirits around the club. It is unlikely that they will provide the Champions League qualification through league positions, and therefore will have to win the Europa League to compete in the Champions League next year.
Manchester United looked clinical in the attack and took their chances well. In addition, they were in defense.
Casemiro impressed for a united man
The Brazilian defense midfielder Casemiro produced an outstanding screen for his team when they needed it. Has been criticized for his appearancefrom the last months. Former Real Madrid star has not been in order for some time, but he stepped up when it really mattered. In the summer it is associated with the exit.
