Benn in a large apple: chasing a potential mega struggle with the elusive Ryan Garcia

Conor Benn arrived in New York because of what seems like a strategic scouting mission for Friday Fatal Fury: City of Wolves event on Times Square. Benn (23-1, 14 ko) is interested in the fight against Ryan Garcia in the fight against mega-multins at the blockbuster level.

Conor wants to see cameras in this event on DAZN PPV. Being present on Friday will give Benn a lot of visibility without having to fight. It’s all strategic.

Objective: Ryan Garcia

Benn, 28 years competitive in their loss On the British Middle Weight Chris Eubank Jr. Last Saturday night. Conor probably hopes to turn these performance into the fight against gold against Ryan Garcia.

It doesn’t matter that Benn would lower the defeat. The fact that he was competitive against medium weight, though older, underestimating one that never won the world title during her long career.

Ryan (24-1, 20 ko) has other plans for his next fight that does not include Benn. If Kingry wins against Rolly Romera (16-2, 13 ko), he is likely to fight Devin Haney in the rematch in October if he wins Jose Ramirez on Friday night. There is a lot of interest to the fans for the rematch of Garcia-Haney.

Revenge

Benn has a rematch clause with Eubank Jr. (35-3, 25 ko), and the two will surely fight later this year for big money. In order for Conor to have any shootings in the fight against Ryan Garcia in the near future, he will have to or win or do it again.

Losing for the second time for Eubank JR, even if close, Benn will put Benn in a bad position to fight Ryan in 2026. Benn would have to return to 147 and beat one or two notable candidates in the division to restore.

Unfortunately, there is a lack of competitors who Conor could fight, which would increase his popularity after the second loss from Eubank Jr., he should take over one of the champions, such as Brian Norman Jr. or the yarn ‘boots’ of Ennis.

There is no chance that Benn’s promoter Eddie Hearn would adhere to any of those champions of weights from the second defeat of EUBANK JR. Hearn knows Benn would probably throw out Norman Jr. and boots. His chances of ever fighting Ryan Garcia would permanently throw himself.
