Undercard Duty: Diego Pacheco to fight Trevor McCumby on July 19 in Texas

The next fight of Diego Pacheco Super Middle Weight against Trevor McCumby received treatment with Undercard, put on Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez Vs. Phumelele Cafu card on July 19th at Dazn in Star in Frisco, Texas, July 19.

Undercard again

Pacheco (23-0, 18 ko) would have been titled his map if he faced one of the dangerous 168 pounds:

  • Christian Milli
  • Osleys Iglesias

It is unclear if Pachec’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, tried to get one of those talents. Maybe Hearn thinks it’s too early to throw a 24-year-old Pachec with Mbilli or Cuban Iglesias, because these guys have a lot of strength and offensive abilities to test him.

Since Diego was ranked first with WBO to 168, Hearn would risk aligning him with one of the shark killers in a division and potentially exposes it.

If Pacheco remains undefeated long enough to title the title against Canel, he will earn millions from the fight. It won’t matter if his career will be robbed afterwards. The way they look now, Canelo will never fight Pachec because he is a Mexican and does not like to fight his people. In addition, Pacheco is so unquestionable. He has no personality, and his CV is a barren name, filled with smaller opposition from top to bottom.

Pacheco comes out with a wide victory of a unanimous decision in 12 circles over the previously undefeated Steven Nelson on January 25th. He dominated the 36-year-old, who had never fought against anyone, noting in composing inflatable records of 20-0.

McCumby Matchup

Using McCumby (28-1, 21 ko) as Pachec’s opponent for the card 19. July is not a good look. McCumby, 32, knocked out in his last fight from the Caleb plant in the ninth round on the canelo vs. vs. Edgar Berlang on September 14 last year.

It is pointless that Pacheco is fighting against McCumby immediately after that loss. Hearn obviously chose McCumby because fans will recognize him from his last struggle, which gives them the opportunity to compare Pacheco with Plant. The problem is that Pacheco has no gain from beating a fighter who comes from a bad knockout loss. Will not get a loan from victory.

“I have worked all my life to get to this career point where I face the best fighters in the world,” Pacheco said.

What does Diego talk about here? McCumby is not the “best” in the world with 168. He was just dropped by the Fighter Caleb factory. Pacheco has to take a step and fight already if he wants to get the attention of Canela and Turki Alalshikh.

The reason Pacheco neglected Alvarez and remained in the cold is that his opposition was mediocre and lacked charisma.

Diego obviously can’t do anything with charisma deficiency, because that’s something he parents with. However, he can light a fire under Hear’s back and tell him to reconcile him against Iglesias and Mbilli, so that he could secure the fight against Canel before receiving.
