West Ham United wants to sign a former Manchester City Academy CJ Egan-Riley on a free transfer.
According to ExwhuempleeeWest Ham gave talks with the 22-year-old about a potential move in the summer.
Egan-Riley will be a free agent in June, and it remains to be seen whether West Ham can provide an agreement with him. The 22-year-old will probably be tempted to move to the Premier League, and the opportunity to join West Ham will be quite exciting.
The hammers have a talented detachment and an exciting project. They want to build an amazing team for the future, and it remains to be seen if they can improve their weaknesses in the summer. This season they looked quite vulnerable, and signing a quality defender would be a wise decision.
The 22-year-old was great for Burnley, and Clarets received only 15 goals in the league this season. The English defender was extraordinary for Scott Parker and his side.
Egan-riley is versatile enough to act as a central defender as well as the right back. His versatility will be a West Ham bonus if they manage to arrange a job. Signing players of his quality and potential on a free transfer would be an excellent offer for the London club.
West Ham will need to improve more areas of their team during the summer passage of the transmission, and signing a talented young defender like Egan Riley on a free broadcast will allow them to improve other areas of their team.
In the meantime, the player has physicality and technical technique to get well in the top flight, and he will look to hit the ground by running in the Premier League if that move passes.
