“There is still a job,” says slot as the Reds are preparing to win the Premier League

Liverpool manager Arne slot says his side still has work to do because they were about to win the Premier League title on Sunday at Tottenham.

The drive from the remaining five matches will secure the 20th win from the top flight title for Redse first from the 2019-20 season.

Slot said, “This is a great responsibility. We are aware that the last time this club won the league over time. So everyone is looking forward to Sunday.

“But we know there is still a job. We need at least one point.

“This is what we know and, hopefully, what our fans know and when they come to the stadium that supports us in the best way possible, as they have done the whole season, but also be aware of the fact that we still need a point.

“It’s a nice game to look forward to, but also the responsibility we have for Sunday.”

Style will become the 12th manager who won the Premier League if he finished his job this weekend.

Jurgen Klopp is the only second manager of Liverpool who managed, ending the 30-year waiting title in 2020.

But Slot says Sunday will be difficult, despite Tottenham’s bad domestic season.

He said: “The game is played against Tottenham’s side that plays for something special – not in the league, but in the Europa League, and they will want to prepare for it in the best possible way.

“We are focused only on the next opponent as always, and that is Tottenham now. So we will try to prepare the team just as we did the whole season.

“We hope that players can bring the same energy and mentality they have brought throughout the season.

“And we expect the same from fans.”
