Tottenham defender Cristian Romero says he would like to play in La Liga – but wants to win the Europa League this season.
The 26-year-old Argentine International was a key figure for spurs from signing from Atalanta 2021.
He endured a season affected by an injury and played only 23 times and was replaced at halftime in defeat of the nottingham forest on Monday.
Recent reports in Spain have linked the World Cup winner with a move to Atletico Madrid.
He said, “I would love to play in La Liga. I would love, honestly.
This is the first time Frankfurt has failed to score a goal in a home game for over a year …

“We will see after the end of the championship. The truth is, I have not yet talked to my agent, but I am open to anything. My goal is always to grow and go to new places to continue developing.
“Above all, I’m trying to take one day one day. The other two months until the end of the season and I always think about performing in the best order.
“We are in the Europa League semi -finals. It is an important step for the club, which has not reached this stage for so many years. I would love to win it.”
After the game, manager Ange Postecoglou revealed the decision to withdraw Romera and partner from the Micky Van de Ven center at halftime on Monday, “pre-planned” and explained why it was important for the duo to start.
He added: “I thought they should play for a few minutes because it becomes 10 days that leads to Liverpool (Sunday).
“We have both physically in both really good places with both of them and I just want to keep them. I felt that there was no need to play more than 45 minutes today and we had to get a few more time to play.”
