Rishabh Pant also gave all the credit for winning Rajasthan Royals in his bowling unit. He said:
“These are the positive things we always talk about. We will do better as a team. All the merits of bowlers holding their nerves at the right time.”
Rishabh Panta further praised Avesh Khan for a fantastic performance and the way he defended 9 runs in the last end. He said:
“It’s not easy, especially when we were always behind the game. They played great, but our bowlers held their nerves, especially Avesh, which was fantastic. (In the final side) the idea was to take your time, make a plan with clear thinking, taking one ball at the same time. We are moving in a positive direction.
Lucknow Super Giants has suffered a defeat of seven stings from Rajasthana Royals 27. April on their home ground in Lucknow. Despite publishing the competitive 196/5, LSG failed to defend the total and was surpassed by Rajasthan Royals.
After deciding on the bar first, the LSG withdrew while they lost Quinton de Kock and Marcus Stoinis in the first two passes. At 11/2, Kl Rahul and Deepak Hood did well to help LSG recover from failure.
Rahul broke 76 out of 48 balls, while Hood scored 50 out of 31 delivery while the duo stabbed a rack for 115 runners. In 126/2 in 13th place, it looked like Super Giants would easily break the 200 races, but that didn’t happen.
Ravicharndran Ashwin released Hood, and Sandeep Sharma and Avesh Khan were removed by Nicholas Pooran and Rahul while LSG ended with 196/5.
With the ball, LSG began decently and rejected both openers – Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal – within 7 additions, while Amit Mishra in 9. rejected Riyan Parag, reducing RR to 78/3.
However, they failed to take advantage of a good start because Sanja Samson and Dhruv Jurel took away the game from them with undefeated positions of 121, and running was completed in 19th place.
