Pep Guardiola admitted that Manchester City could miss the summer transfers goals if the club fails to qualify for the Champions League.
City is currently the fifth in the Premier League ahead of the Everton trip on Saturday afternoon and are in the last four FA Cups.
With the remaining six league matches, Guardiola was supposed to end up in the top five to secure the Champions League location, but with Chelsea and Aston Villa just a point behind them, City is far from a guaranteed place.

After the dominance of the domestic scene in the last few years – including four consecutive Premier League titles – City has been fighting this season and withstanding a catastrophic end by 2024, where they won only once in 13 games in all competitions.
Results and performances have been picked up in the last few months, but the Guardiola -the team is expected to go through a major remodel in the summer, not least because of the confirmed departure of Talisman from midfielder Kevin de Bruyne.
However, the city boss is afraid that the club could fight for priority signing if they do not play in an elite competition in European club football.
“It depends on the players we want and have only one option,” Guardiola said.
“If they have a lot, I’m pretty sure the players, of course, look at those in the Champions League.
“Maybe players come anyway, and there are others who say they don’t want to go because of no Champions League. I don’t know. I didn’t talk to one player potentially for the next season, so I don’t know.”
As for some current city crops of players who leave if the Champions League football is not achieved, Guardiola added: “They have contracts. In addition to Kevin (de Bruyne), everyone else has contracts.
“The club and the organization decide what is best. The club works, of course, behind the scenes what they have to do, but I’m worried about these six (premier leagues) games and FA cups.
“After that, a week, 10 days, the fifth of June, we start again with seven days before flying to the United States and preparing for the (club) World Cup.”
