Calum Watkins achieved the achievement of his second debut Leeds as they beat Huddersfield 28-6 in Headley to send exhausted visitors who spin on another defeat of the Super League.

Former Rhinos Captain Watkins – signed last week from Salford – launched his second attempt shortly after the interval.

Lachlan Miller moved to the opening of Leeds, but they had to wait more than half an hour, after the video judge also excluded some dog defenses of Huddersfield after three efforts in the first half.

Ash Handley, Jake Connor and Ryan Hall also crossed Leeds, who stunned after the interval to seal his third victory in four super League games.

Huddersfield Prop Tom Burgess achieved a well -deserved attempt at late comfort, but the Giants crashed to the ninth consecutive defeat in all competitions this season.

Rhinos Scrum-Polova Matt Fawley and the second row of Morgan Gannon, at their first beginning of the Super League season, both kept over attempts.

Leeds approached again when the Keenan Palasia striker overturned, but Miller’s passage ruled that he was forward, and the video referee rejected them after ProP Tom Holroyd crossed from close range.

Giants, without 11 older players in the midst of a crippled crisis of injuries, caused two more strokes when Burgess went for an earthquake check before the Liam Sutcliffe Center refused a leg injury.

Visitors bravely defended themselves and thought they had taken over the shock when it seemed that Halsall himself touched Jake Bibby’s shots, but the video judge ruled that the ball was not grounded.

Burgess returned to the Giants’ action, who were playing toy to keep Leeds on the bay, and Fawley was stabbed in an inch of attempted.

Burgess chose a top -notch line to switch to Giants in the final stages, and the conversion of George Flanagan has completed scoring.
