Thibaut Courtois claimed that Real Madrid missed the exit and exit last night after leaving the Champions League in Arsenal’s hands.

Courtois impressed with Arsenal
Courtois can claim that he has done his part after saving the punishment of the first half from Bukayo Saka. But the ‘overhaul’ failed to come to fruition because Saka and Gabriel Martinelli scored both sides of the naked Vinicius Jr.
“When you save punishment, the belief that you can (return) is growing,” Courtois added.
“At the beginning of the match, we created a little danger and the fans really pushed us. But Arsenal are a team that really organized and defended well – their wingeds work back and their striker returns.
“At halftime, we really felt that if we score first, we would be open. We stabbed, we equalized almost immediately and we believed constantly, but we didn’t have that effectiveness in advance.”

Was a tough night – Vazquez
Madrid captain Lucas Vazquez hit a more reconciliable tone and refused to blame one area of the team.
He said, “It was a tough match. We didn’t create a goal of chances we wanted. We never allowed the game to be completely pulled out of our understanding, but it was an affair of stopping, full of interruption, and things didn’t look like they went to us when they had 50-50.
“We may have missed a little clarity when we were on the ball, maybe we could have been more patient in moving the possessions from one side to the other and stretched Arsenal. They are a really terribly organized defense.
“As when we are all responsible for winning, we are all responsible when we lose – it’s simply part of football.”
