Carlo Ancelotti woke up this morning in the realization that his mandate Real Madrid was nearing its end.
Last night’s 2-1 defeat at home in Arsenal in the Champions League quarterfinals -Gunners who have completed a comprehensive total 5-1-groan victory with him closer to the exit door, which were already fine after the season.
Ancelotti enjoyed a huge success in the Santiago Bernabeu, twice won La Liga and the Champions League three times, but there will be no sentimentality when it comes to deciding on his future.

Ancelotti knows that time has expired
The Italian, whose contract expires in 2026, admitted so much after the game last night. Asked if he would be in charge when the club’s World Cup arrives in June, he said: “I can’t talk about it right now.
“It could happen that the club decides to change (coach). That could be this year – or next when my contract expires, no problem.
“That could be tomorrow, in 10 days, in the month or year, but all I can do is thank the club – if my contract is up there or not, I don’t care.”
Madrid still has a lot to play for this season. They are in the Copa Del Rey final, where they will face Barcelona in Seville, the club World Cup and La Liga, with four points behind Barca.
Acelotti added: “We have a dark side and we have a bright side.
“We have governed the bright side many times. We won the titles, we won the games. We are eliminated (from the Champions League, but) we have three more competitions that we need to stay focused on.”
Still, you wouldn’t come back to Madrid to win none of them.
Not at Barcelona level
Twice this season, they played Barcelona and have been surpassed both times, a 4-0 league defeat on Bernabeu and a 5-2 hammer in the Spanish Super Cup.
They can have a better chance on the World Cup club, especially since the participants of England – Chelsea and Manchester City – are not at the Arsenal or Liverpool level. But even then, can this Madrid side reveal the challenges of Bayern winners of Munich, Inter Milan or Copa Libertadores Botafogo?
The investigation has already started in Madrid and will probably end from the departure of Ancelotti.
