Onana will start for Manchester United against Lyon

Manchester United chief Ruben Amorim says Andre Onina will return to Lyon on Thursday.

Red devils go to the quarterfinals of the Europa League second leg 2-2 with a French side.

Many believe that Amorim’s side should lead the lead back to Old Trafford, but for Onane’s bad mistakes in the first part.

“As a coach and a former player, I first try to do things that can help the player in this situation.

“We are talking about physical management of players, but we also have to mentally manage them.

“We had one weekend where I felt it was better that Andre Onana wouldn’t play and a good thing for Altay (Bayindir).”

Amorim was pressed if Manchester United would ask for a new goalkeeper this summer, a question he didn’t take and kind.

He added, “I think it’s more of a budget. That’s important when you plan on next season, the Champions League can change everything.

Amorim also confirmed the reports that Joshua Zirkzee would be placed aside the rest of the season due to knee injury.

“Joshua (Zirkzee) is out of season. He won’t play more this season, let’s prepare him for the next one. It’s hard for him, especially at this point. He improves in all aspects and it was hard for any player to stop.”
