Maresca invites Chelsea fans to trust him despite the wrong form

Chelsea chief Enzo Maresca urged fans to trust him as a blues targeted success of the European Conference League.

The Italian, under the increasing pressure of the loyalistic supporters club fans and felt their dissatisfaction during Sunday 2-2 with Ipswich.

The players and staff from Chelsea raised themselves after they lowered 2-0, something that Maresca later suggested affected the performance of his team.

He continued to add that the enemy environment stopped his team to play the way he wanted, eventually led to them.

And not surprisingly, further questions about his future at the club were asked on the eve of the quarterfinals of the Chelsea’s second leg against Legia Warsaw.

Asked if she could entertain Chelsea’s fans, Maresca said, “I’m not able to do a different style.

“The message (is) that we are with (fans) (behind us) a better team. I fully understand that, as a team, we have to hire our fans. This is something we couldn’t do on Sunday, especially for those 20 or 25 minutes. It is also up to us to hire our fans well enough.”

After the results on Sunday, Chelsea fell on the sixth in the Premier League and is now at a serious risk of missing the Champions League next season.

Given that now it takes the top five to guarantee a place in the elite competition, Maresca defended himself, adding: “I think we have proven this season (to progress), even if it is difficult to see at the outside.

“In the last two years, Chelsea has been in the first four zeros.

“But I think the fans have to trust us, the team and what the club is doing now, because if Chelsea was not in the top four in the last two seasons, and Chelsea has been in the top four years this season – this is a great proof that the team is improves and for the right things.
