Former Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski hit twice while the German side was thrown out 4-0 from Barcelona last week in the first leg.

But Dortmund is used to saving his best form for the Champions League, reaching the finals last year, and will hope for a legendary return home.

Barcelona has yet to face the defeat of 2025, but the Kovac wants his side to fight.

He said, “We know the situation. We want to show a completely different face tomorrow than in the first part and win the game.

“There are always miracles, but we also know that Barcelona has not yet lost the competitive game.

“We have to be there from the first minute tomorrow and take fans on our side. We will only get a necessary wind from them, a willingness to run, performance and passion.”

Dortmund, who also fought in the Bundesliga and is eighth on a rankings on 42 points, could be without EMRE captain for a return leg in Germany against Barc, who persecuted high current.

“We have been resting Emre today in training. He has been having muscular problems in his adductor area for weeks and has always nibbled on his teeth,” Kovac said.

“You have to emphasize it. It is possible that they will not play tomorrow, we will have to see.”

The Kovac also welcomed the Felix Nmech midfielder, who returned in the beginning of this month after a long absence due to a knee injury, adding: “Felix has developed very well as a player and as a person.

“He can do everything on the ball, has a great dynamics and is a complete player. After his long injury, he still lagged out a little in terms of fitness.”
