Tottenham embarked on his most important season match, as they welcomed the German side of Frankfurt in northern London on Thursday night at the first part of their quarterfinals of the Europa League Thursday night.
Ange Postecoglou recently faced increasing surveillance, and questions about his future received even more towing after a recent defeat to Chelsea.
The Spurs secured a 3-1 over the already stretched Southampton over the weekend, although a little made a little breakup between the manager and some of the fans.
However, a convincing performance against Frankfurt could go a long way to restore faith.
This is the first European quarterfinals of Spurs from their iconic running in 2019. When they eliminated Manchester City on goals in the Champions League classics.
But historically, Tottenham fought at this stage of European competition, winning only one of his previous 13 quarterfinals.
They last faced Frankfurt in the group stage of the Champions League during the 2022-23 campaign, but the only previous knockout meeting came in the 1981-82 Cup Cup Cup, where Tottenham arrived at the aggregate 3-2.

Frankfurt are not foreigners of this phase of the Europa League. This is their third quarterfinals in six seasons.
Historically, they progressed from this circle even without winning the first leg – famously eliminating Barcelona in Nou Camp 2022 on the way to raising the trophy.
They were dominant in the 16th round, hitting Ajax 6-1 on the aggregate, although they looked less threatening since Omar Marmoush went to Manchester City in January.
Recent results are inconsistent, with only five wins in the last 13 games, including a loss of 2-0 from Werder Bremen. However, they remain the third on the Bundesliga table and will imagine their chances against the poor Spurs side.
Tottenham will be at least two weeks without Dejan Kulusevsky and Kevin Danso, judging them from both legs. Rada Dragusin is working for the season due to an ACL injury.
Timo Werner is not acceptable to equalize because he was not registered for European competition, but Richarlison could return to action after recovery from the injury.
