Benavidez gets WBC a light heavy title while the buffalo pronounces to make Chase Beterbiev trilogy

WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman confirmed today that the 175-pound temporary champion David Benavidez is a new light strap for a heavyweight after Dmitry Bivol has given up a title with the WBC organization.

The WBC-ordered Pouch Offer was scheduled for Bivol’s compulsory fight with Benavides tomorrow, but Dmitry decided to give up his belt so he could participate in a trilog match with Artura Beterbiev.
