What did James Corden say about Lady Judi Dench? The comedian raises eyebrows with remarks about the winner of the Oscar

The English comedian and late -night leader of the Talk show James Corden made titles recently after making a seemingly inappropriate joke about British actress Veteranka, Dame Judi Dench.

Corden, 46, entered the stage on the 11th Breeder Award in Los Angeles on April 5, 2025, where he shared:

“Tonight is one night to gather Hollywood and science, except of course, that magic evening in which Dr. (Anthony) Fauci had a one -night stop with Lady Judi Dench.”

Dr. Anthony Stephen Fauci, 84, is an American medical scientist and immunologist who was the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases from 1984 to 2022. He is also a former medical advisor to the White House and the recipient of the presidential medal of freedom.

James Corden’s joke about Ladies Judi Dench90, on Saturday, raised his eyebrows at the event, and the audience appeared visibly stunned, according to the Daily Mail. The American actress and director Olivia Wilde seemed shocked as her camera was cut, the socket reported. The audience did not even laugh at the joke and there was a clumsy silence, the publication claimed.

Neither ladies Judi Dench nor Dr. Anthony Fauci were present at the event. James Corden’s remarks were not addressed at the time of writing.

James Corden previously faced a controversy over a joke about Harvey Weinstein

In 2017, James Corden hosted AMFAR GALA in Los Angeles, where he joked about S*XUAL attacks on charges against the American film producer and now convicted with*x offenders, Harvey Weinstein.

“S*XUAL attack was not laughing. I did not try to illuminate Harvey’s unforgivable behavior, but to embarrass him, the abuser, not the victim. I am honestly sorry for anyone offended, it was never my intention.”

Over the weekend, the 2025 breakthrough prize was an affair with the stars and hosted by Corden. The students were Hollywood A-Lister Salma Hayek, Gwyneth PaltrowDrew Barrymore, Lizzo, Christina Aguilera, Paris Hilton, Gal Gadot, Gayle King and Katy Perry.

Tech Magnates Bill Gates, Mark ZuckerbergJeff Bezos and his fiancée, Lauren Sánchez, also appeared. The ceremony recognizes contributions in the scientific field with “leading future from fun, sports, technology and business” as well as the Daily Mail. It was held in the space aircraft of a hangar called Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, California.

Significantly, James Corden and Lady Judi Dench appeared together in the 2019 musical, Cats. She also attended his talk show CBS, Late late show with James Corden.
