Bullish Mikel Arteta says Arsenal is “ready to deliver” against Real Madrid tomorrow night.
Gunners hosted the Spanish giants in the first part of the quarterfinals of their Champions League, who have reached the last four for the first time in 16 years.
They could not choose a stricter opponent with Madrid with the most successful club in the history of the Champions League/European Cup, winning it 15 times, including last year when they saw Borussia Dortmund at Wembley.

Arteta knows that Madrid is synonymous with success in this competition, but the Spaniard was in a confident mood ahead of the Emirates Conflict with men by Carl Ancelotti.
He said: “The joy is to prepare the game, just look at the reaction of the people, and how we feel about ourselves to enter the game of this size. This is the phase we want to be, where Arsenal must be consistent. We are very proud to be there and now we are ready for delivery tomorrow.
“Tomorrow from 8pm, 11 players, 60,000 people, really super convinced that we’re ready to beat and beat them. It’s a way of thinking I want.
“The rest, … (just) to be the team that we were in the last quarter of the season, with all the ups and downs and things we had to deal with, still do it because it is our great strength.”
For all the good job he did at Arsenal since he took over in 2019, Artea led them to just one trophy – FA Cup 2020 – and is desperate desperately to change that record.
He added, “That’s why I got into football, so I got into management, and especially this football club. It’s been 20 years since we had this kind of game and it’s a great opportunity for us to build our own story and that’s why we are here.
“We will put all the ingredients, everything in our hands to play the game we want and take the game in the direction we want to achieve it. We will also need our people who play every ball with us and that will make a big difference because it really needs it.
“At this stage, you need your home stadium to create a very special atmosphere to create momentum, so I encourage everything to go there to play with us tomorrow, not there to watch it, but play the game with us.”
Arsenal suffered a big shot with a key defender Gabriel last week off the rest of the season due to a knee injury sustained against Fulham.
Arteta says she knows what to do against Madrid in an attempt to fight their awful four four Kylian Mbappe, Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham, but refused to discover her plans.
Started with Jakub Kiwior along with William Salib for Draw 1-1 in Everton on Saturday But Ben White’s ability to play for an hour at Goodison Park means he has options.
Maybe the white moves to the center, instead of Kiwior, with Jurrien Timber starting with the right back.
“It looks like it (everyone is available that were involved in the weekend),” Artea said. “We have another training in the afternoon.

Bukayo Saka is likely to start after getting off the bench in the last two games after a long release.
“He’s in a much better place,” Arteta said of Wing English. “We gradually built his records in the last six or seven days, he wore well with that and he is in a good place to use it.”
