Arne Slot was greeted by PGMOL’s confession that they made a mistake not to send the defender of Everton James Tarkowski in last night’s derby Merseyside, but he thinks the mistake should not be made in the first place.

The judges were ‘okay’ this season
But the Dutchman does not believe that the standard of the Premier League referees is the main issue and gladly accepted the mistakes part of the game.
He added, “I think everywhere around the world makes mistakes. It’s something in the league where I came from. We all aimed at the league without mistakes. I aim of the season without making one mistake in the settings I make, but unfortunately, that probably will never happen to me, not with the judges’ judgments.
“We also have to accept them, which is sometimes very difficult – as you noticed on the Game with Everton with me. I got the idea that David Moyes was not happy after the game, but he was a little smarter than me and went inside, instead of getting into the field – it’s probably an experience.
“The mistakes are made. I know, for example, there is so much criticism of judges in the Netherlands. In this world, if there is a possibility to be negative, everyone wants to be negative, so if the judge makes the wrong decision, everyone will fall on her and if I make the wrong lineup, everyone will fall on him.

Moyes was angry that the winner of Diogo Jota was allowed to stop after Luis Diaz considered inactive in the accumulation, despite standing in an offside position.
