The hopes of Barcelona La Liga enjoyed a significant reinforcement this afternoon after the Spanish Government – CSD – CSD Council – ruled that registrations Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor were valid until the end of the season.
CSD was on the side of Barce, after the club complained of the Spanish Football Federation (Rfef) and the decision of La Liga to cancel sports licenses of the couple.
Both Olmo and Victor played temporary licenses until the final verdict was reached.
Spanish Fa and La Liga initially sanctioned the couple after Barca failed to fulfill the deadline of December 31 for players registration.
The barge statement reads: “This Thursday, Superior Sports Council (CSD) supported a complaint, filed by football players Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor on January 7, as well as FC Barcelona, annulled by the Agreement concluded by the Coordinating Coordinating Coordination Commission.
“According to the CSD verdict,” this was clearly and indisputably established during this procedure, after considering the arguments of the parties, that the control commission was not competent to decide on the previous visa, as well as the license requested by FC Barcelona.
“Therefore, Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor keep their valid licenses and will be able to continue playing matches with the team.
“It should be noted that from 8 January CSD approved an emergency measure of precaution that made both players to continue their professional career normally.”
Olmo was currently injured, but he would be part of Barca’s best XI when he stopped.
The Hansi Flick side are three points clear at the top of La Liga with nine games. On Saturday, they face real betis at home.
