Trent Alexander-Arnold’s injury caused Real Madrid speculation, says Slot

Liverpool boss Arne slot believes that Trent Alexander-Arnold put on the side of a thorough injury caused a re-whisper around his future.

Alexander-Arnold has not played since he sustained ankle injury during the Champions League conflict with Paris Saint-Germain on March 11th.

During his forced absence, it was reported that at the end of the season he had agreed on personal terms with Real Madrid ahead of the free crossing at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Slot believes that it is no accident that speculation gained attraction when the English international was side.

He said, “His situation is unfortunately injured, otherwise people would probably talk about him if he had one or two great appearances for the English team. But he was injured, and for him it means that he is completely focused on his recovery and for us it means that we are trying to help him return as soon as he can.”

Alexander-Arnold is one of the three key players of Liverpool whose contracts expire in June, along with Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk.

Slot did an outstanding job in maintaining focus on the field, and Liverpool will go to Derby in Derby with Everton, with at least nine points on the Premier League Summit.

He admired, “We were never focused on these conversations, we were always focused on what we had to do.

“For Virgil and Mo who are trying to conquer the derby Merseyside, and for a tent that is ensured that it can fit as soon as possible.

“This is a situation that has been around for eight months, and all of these three players have come so well in these circumstances, so that does not affect me at all.

“I think there was a little noise when we lost against Paris St-Germain and us to lose against Newcastle. I always try to be rational. I was a little frustrated in the finals (EFL Cup), because I think we deserved to lose.

Nine finals coming to Liverpool

The international break enabled Liverpool to reset after the defeat on PSG and Newcastle and Style says they are determined to end the season strongly.

“We all look forward to the upcoming nine games (in the Premier League),” he said. “In my opinion, players look refreshed.

“But that wasn’t all negative. We played the finals against a very good Newcastle team and we played a very good game in defeat by Paris Saint-Germain. In my opinion, we played the best game, but unfortunately they lost on penalties.
