William Haggas was delighted when Dubai Honor held his undefeated record in Australia by winning Tancred Stakes in Rosehill on Tuesday.
Globetrotting the seven-year-old landed in the roles of Ranvet, and Queen Elizabeth on his previous trip to the southern hemisphere two years ago and returned fresh from the end of the second place to Giavellotto Marc Botti in Hong Kong in December.
By offering for his fourth success in one success, after seeking his first win in Europe last summer at the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud, Dubai Honor has accelerated smartly to capture the lead under that Marquand and crossed three quarters of the length in front.
Former prisoner Dermot Weld Duke de Sessa filled the place for the winners, with Vauban – a high -class performer under both Codes for Willie Mullins before moving to Australia – in third place in a meeting held since the weekend due to rain.
Haggas looked proudly from his base Newmarket and said, “It was wonderful and he ran great.
“It was a very competitive race with all the right horses to the fore, but he was better than that day and was fantastic.
“He is extremely consistent and it comes down to Issy Paul, who treats him as his child. She drives him every day and takes him abroad every time she runs and does a great job.”
Dubai Honor will now do his best to regain his crown in Queen Elizabeth’s roles in Randwick on Saturday a week, and race Haggas also won twice with Globetrotting Addybb in 2020 and 2021.
It seems to be his biggest threat to the mare by Chris Waller via Sistine, and earlier in Britain she was training George Boughey, but Haggas is ready for the challenge.
He added: “It will absolutely be Queen Elizabeth.
