Newcastle wants to make more memories in the last 10 games

Newcastle Boss Eddie Howe has invited his players to use the Final 10 Premier Games League to upgrade their success at Carabao Cup.

Magpies won his first domestic trophy in 70 years at Wembley before the international break, beating Liverpool at Wembley to raise a rare piece of silver accessories.

Hundreds of thousands gathered at Tyneside to join the parade and celebrate in the celebrations involving local heroes of Ant and Dec, as well as Alan Shearer.

But for Howe, attention turned back to the Premier League and Newcastle’s search for the Champions League football football.

On Wednesday, they faced Brentford, a team he lost 4-2 earlier in the campaign.

In his press conference before the match, the head coach Newcastle admitted that the defeat was the catalyst of their season and talked about what he hoped for in the last part.

He said: It was a very difficult day, the one. It was a catalyst for us in terms of overgrouping and changing the momentum of our season. After that we went to a really good victory.

“We had a thorough analysis of that game. We know Brentford is a good team and we played them on the way to the finals of the Carabao Cup and that was another difficult game.

“Thomas (Frank) did a really good job there. They are strong in pieces. Their form is now very strong and they are free scoring. So it will be very difficult.

“It was the case of reset and looking at our goals in a different way. We have to put what happened against Liverpool on the back of the mind and now it really focuses on the future.

We enjoyed a break. We went to the finals of Carabao Cup knowing that we have time to absorb what happened in that game. Fortunately, it was positive.

“But now we’re ready to play again. That’s what we do. We’re still in the middle of the season. It was a long break. But we tried to move it, as we can with all the emotions about the game we had. But we are focused on the next game.

“We have 10 games and 10 great opportunities to try to turn our Premier League into an unforgettable Cup final. We look forward to it and I hope the guys have been renewed and renewed confidence.”

Newcastle sat six in the Premier League table, but only two points from the fourth placement of Chelsea, which is facing Tottenham on Thursday.

The victory could catapult them into the Champions League spots, with the fifth awarded an additional place in the competition.
