Real Madrid chief Carlo Ancelotti believes Kylian Mbappe can be aligned with Cristiano Ronaldo’s legacy in the club.
Mbappe’s pair of goals during the Real Madrid 3-2 victory over Leganes pushed the total season at 33 on all competitions on Saturday, the appropriate legendary Portuguese icon.
This number mirrors Ronald’s debut season from 2009-10. Subsequently, Ronaldo climbed to become a leading Real Madrid leader, accumulating a total of 16 trophies, including four Champions League titles and two championship Lalim.
“It’s hard to compare different players,” Acelotti said on Monday. “What I can hope for is that Mbappe can achieve what Cristiano Ronaldo achieved in Real Madrid. I think he has the opportunity to do so. If he does, there will be a legend in Real Madrid like Cristiano Ronaldo.”
Mbappe’s current season includes 22 goals in 27 appearances in Laliga, together with seven in the Champions League and individual goals in Copa del Rey, Spanish Supercopa, Superku and Intercontinental Cup.
Ronaldon scored 26 goals in the initial Laliga season, which then rose to 40 in its second season, 2010-11, and eventually reached the highlight of 48 in the 2014-15 campaign.

Real Madrid is currently taking second place in Laliga, and they are preparing to host Real Sociedad for the second part of its Copa del Rey semifinals on Tuesday.
Los Blancos also follows Barca for three points in the league, setting up what should be a blockbuster in the last few weeks in the campaign.
“Barcelona plays very nice football, with intensity, and Madrid plays different football, with a lot of quality,” Ancelotti added. “I like both of them, and that’s fine. It’s hard to compare, because there are different aspects: Who presses the most? Who best defends?
“These are also the characteristics of the players you have. Comparisons are almost impossible, I love the way Real Madrid play. We can improve things, some seasons are better than others. Players change, and you can’t maintain style and identity for many years. If you try to maintain the same style, you don’t always succeed in the end.”
