AC Milan wants to “change their appearances” their gloomy campaign in Copp Italia semifinals against rivals Arch Inter Milan after their hopes in European qualification through Serie A suffered another failure.
Milan was Beat 2-1 by Serie A title of challenger Napoli On Sunday, a terrible opening for 20 minutes, watching them 2-0 behind the goals Matteo Police and Romelu Lukaku.
The Rossoners improved in the second half, but they failed to save the point because Santiago Gimenez missed the penalty in the 69th minute before Luka Jovic had pulled one back late.
This means that Milan is five points behind the sixth -ranked Roma, which takes sixth place for what would be a place in the conference league next season, with eight games.
The late rush to delete this deficit looks very little probably, and with a Copp win in Italy, he gained a place in the League of Europe, coach Sergio Conceicao was focused on the first Wednesday at the first part of a huge double semifinal with Inter.
“It’s very frustrating because we didn’t deserve this defeat,” Conceicao said. “We want to change the odds and we have the opportunity to do so on Wednesday.”

In an interview with Dazna after the defeat of Napoli, Conceicao stopped saying, but pointed to the accident of a disease that removed two players from his team.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek was transported to a hospital with inflammatory guts, while Malick Thiaw was also well.
“Since I am here, for more or less three months, I have never found excuses for lack of time to work,” he said.
“Everything went wrong today. I woke up at 7:30 in the morning, Loftus-Cheek was ill and went to the hospital for surgery. After that, they told me that Thiaw couldn’t play because he was vomiting, he had a stomach.
“Shortly after, they told me that (Rafael) Leao had discomfort in Bedar. Then again, they were not excuses, we could have done many more. The first ball they stated, they achieved. We didn’t play the first 20 minutes as we prepared.
“These things happen, I do not want to attach to bad luck because we could have done more, but today everything really happened. Then in the second half the team responded very well, it was necessary. In the second half we created so much chance, the real result would be pulling in my opinion.”
Leao got off the bench on the feature show and was included in the upgrade for Jovic’s goal, but that came too little, too late after Gimenez saw the criminal sentence saved by Alex Meret.
Asked who was supposed to take the sentence, Conceicao said: “We have three main persons.
“We know how things are. It’s not like to say something to the players, these are three who decide to feel how they feel.
“But this is a good sign, it is a sign of a united locker room. There is an awareness that we had to do more in the first 25 minutes, it is a big frustration because we have not deserved this defeat.”
Milan is the appointed home team for the first part of its semifinals, whose winner will face either low Empoli or Bologna, which headed to the Champions League in the finals at Stadio Olympico on May 14.
