CUNHA ENGINEERING ‘Take the following step’ as a Brazilian hint on a request at Wolves output

Matheus Cunha is not the secret of his ambition for the future and admits, “I have to take the next step.”

Wolves is expected to be a hot commodity in the upcoming transfer window, with several Premier League clubs provide insurance for its services.

There could be a high move on the horizon, given the interest around it.

Arsenal are among clubs that are carefully monitored by Cunha’s situation, as the Topmen seek to enhance their attacks after the long -term injuries of Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus.

In the meantime, Nottingham Forest is also in mix and is believed to prepare a record offer if they secure the Champions League qualifier. The club had previously inquired about Cunhi in January, but Wolves remained firmly in his attitude that he was not for sale.

Despite the signing of the extension of the contract to reject the courtiers, Cunha has now made it clear that he is open to the move. In an interview with Guardian, he shared his thinking about his career advancement.

“I had a lot of offers, but I wouldn’t feel good if I did it,” Cunha said. “Some things you can’t control, but I couldn’t leave the club in the middle of the season, in a difficult situation, in the relegation zone.

“We are now close to achieving our goal (to stay up). But I made it clear that I have to take the next step.

“I want to fight for titles, for big things. I have potential.”

Despite his desire to move on, the Brazilian expressed his deep gratitude for the support he received since joining Vukova from Atletico Madrid in January 2023.

“Sometimes everything we want in life is affection,” he said. “People think we have everything, but we are human beings too. We need a little understanding – we have our own difficulties.

“Wolves gave me that joy. Fans are a lot to me.

“The status I have today, the player I am now and the happiness I feel is for them. I am really grateful to the wolves.”

Given that the summer transmission window quickly approaches, Cunha appears in search of silver accessories and a new challenge.
