Champions return to a place in the semifinals of FA Cup

Manchester City came from behind to secure a 2-1 victory over Bournemouth in the FA Cup quarterfinals at Vitality Stadium.

Victory means that the Premier League champions will book their place in the semi -finals seven consecutive season.

The game on the south coast began with the early pressure of the city, which in the 12th minute received a penalty when the cross of Bernard Silve hit the raised hand of Bournemouth’s Tyler Adams.

However, the weak blow of Erling Haalanda was comfortably saved by Kepa Arizabalaga, retaining the results. Haaland then swallowed another golden opportunity a few minutes later, raising the chopped effort over the crossbar when he passed the goal.

Bournemouth took a full use of the early waste of the city and took the lead in the 21st minute. The interception of Ryan Christie has allowed David Brooks to send a wonderful cross into a distant post.

Justin Kluivert helped the goal, and Evanilson was available to apply a final touch to the line, giving cherries an advantage of 1-0.

Pep Guardiola replied with the execution of a key replacement at halftime, bringing 18-year-old Nico O’reilly for abducting Khusanov.

This move paid off almost immediately, just like only four minutes in the second half, O’Reilly made a current influence. Cracking forward from the left back, he brought a perfectly weighted cross to the back of the post, where Haaland finally found his mark, touching from immediate measures to achieve the result at 1-1.

City continued to dominate the possession, and Jack Grealish got off the bench to add additional dynamism to his attack.

In the 63rd minute, a replacement for the city turned out to be decisive. O’Reilly was turned on again, connecting with Omar Marmoush, whose low strike slid under the Kepa and in the net to complete the city’s turn.

The Bournemouth goalkeeper was disappointed that he did not retain his efforts, but at a crucial moment the city used their pressure with the Haaland, which he chased away.

The cherries tried to answer, introducing fresh legs in search of equalization. Adam Smith, Alex Scott and Daniel Jebbison were presented in the last stages, but they fought to create clear opportunities.

Justin Kluivert and Lewis Cook picked up yellow tickets as the frustration grew for the hosts.

Grealish almost knocked the game in the 82th minute, when his intricate dribbling brought to the chance for Ilkay Gundogan, who saw his shot hitting the fasting base. City continued to control possession, frustrating Bournemouth as they fought to win the ball in the final minutes.

Despite six minutes of extra time, Bournemouth failed to single out the last opportunity, and City saw the match to secure his place in the semifinals.

City will now look forward to Wembley, while Bournemouth can be proud of their humorous performance despite being failing. Ultimately, the city’s superior quality of individual quality was what once again earned their place in the last four FA Cups.
