Champions return to a place in the semifinals of FA Cup

Manchester City came from behind to secure a 2-1 victory over Bournemouth in the FA Cup quarterfinals at Vitality Stadium.

Victory means that the Premier League champions will book their place in the semi -finals seven consecutive season.

The game on the south coast began with the early pressure of the city, which in the 12th minute received a penalty when the cross of Bernard Silve hit the raised hand of Bournemouth’s Tyler Adams.

However, the weak blow of Erling Haalanda was comfortably saved by Kepa Arizabalaga, retaining the results. Haaland then swallowed another golden opportunity a few minutes later, raising the chopped effort over the crossbar when he passed the goal.

City continued to dominate the possession, and Jack Grealish got off the bench to add additional dynamism to his attack.

In the 63rd minute, a replacement for the city turned out to be decisive. O’Reilly was turned on again, connecting with Omar Marmoush, whose low strike slid under the Kepa and in the net to complete the city’s turn.

Despite six minutes of extra time, Bournemouth failed to single out the last opportunity, and City saw the match to secure his place in the semifinals.

City will now look forward to Wembley, while Bournemouth can be proud of their humorous performance despite being failing. Ultimately, the city’s superior quality of individual quality was what once again earned their place in the last four FA Cups.
