Las Vegas, Nevada-Mikaela Mayer (21-2, 5 ko) wants to be considered among the best in women’s boxing. She showed that a truly champion convincingly beating the former WBO champion WBO Welterweight Masa Sandy Ryan (7-3-1, 3 ko) and made the first successful defense of the said title. In front of a sold -out audience in Bleaulive Theater inside Fontainebleau Las Vegas, Mayer provided a career that defined the performance.
After suffering two debatally close loss of championship from Alycia Baumgardner and Natasha Jonas, and then last September squeezed a narrow majority victory for the decision against Sandy, Mikaela made it clear that she would try to convincingly win and leave without a doubt who is a better boxer.
In the first match, Mayer surpassed Ryana only by a blow, from 186 to 185, but in the rematch she seized her throughout the margin, from 178 to 146. She finished 40 more shots, did so control the pace of the fight and put in pressure.
Sandy wrongly changed her strategy for this match, deciding to box on the outside using lateral movement. Its product decreased significantly from the first match and was less effective as a result. Her best circle was the 8th, when he threw the most (57) and landed (24) his best struggle of the fight. Sandy performed better when she stayed in her pocket (Compubox) as she did in the first match.
After her victory, Mikaela said she intended to start after undefeated and ruling IBF, WBA -ei WBC champions in the Lauren Price category to become an indisputable champion. This would set a super fight between two highly qualified boxers. Mikaela said of her third match as Veluk, “I had to move for a long time into a veil. He seems to look a lot improved under the new coaches of the team of Kofi Jantah and Al Mitchell. Now he is struggling with the surpassing of division.
Although Sandy had a longtime Mayer coach Kay Koroma in the corner, she had no tactical advantage. Kay sat down for the first fight out of respect for Mikaella, but this time he was present. During the week of fighting, Sandy was throwing verbal stings on Mikael, mocking her, telling her that she would have Kay in her corner and was no longer in hers. Mayer’s victory takes place all the drama and leading the first match and all the bad blood that remained. There were only two women, a boxer ring and the glory of the championship. Mikaela
She prevailed and showed that she could compete with any greater weight, and now she hopes to surpass the division against the undefeated champion, with whom he has now been destined to face.
