‘I’m really happy here’

Bournemouth leader Andoni Iraila played speculations that he could replace Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham Hotspur, insisting that he was happy at the South Coast club.

Spaniard has collected numerous fans since he took over from Gary O’Neil in 2023. He led the cherries until the end of the 12th place in the last term of the Premier League, and this season Bournemouth has found only five points from the top four, and have already recorded victories against Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal.

In the middle of the rumor that he could replace postecoglou soon, Irail said that his focus was exclusively at his current employers.

“I want to do my job as best I can. I don’t know how much we can go, where we will finish,” he said in front of the conflict with Pep Guardiola.

“If I don’t do the job very well, they (Bournemouth) will find someone who does a job – it’s in every business.

“I’m really happy here. We have a great opportunity for the first time in the (club) history to go to the semifinals. That would be amazing for me personally and if I achieve new heights.

“But we know that we also have to be realistic, that there are better teams than us and we have to fight the teams that are very good, so we will try to give the best level we have.”

However, in Bournemouth there was a movement in Bournemouth, as the first team trained in his new, top 57 -hectare performance center.

The new training site, which includes a closed dome and rehab facilities, is a sign of cherry intent and the one that their manager was impressed.

“That was a big change for us,” said the 42-year-old.
