The Salford Red Devils Issuity Statement after players and the Super League staff no longer paid on time | Rugby league news

Salford confirmed that players and staff at the Betfred Super League -affected Krizna Club were not paid for the second month in a row.

It seems that they have run out of patience with their new owners, Salford said in a statement: “As many will already know, our canvas newspaper has not been delivered this morning as scheduled, despite beliefs.”

During most of the season, Salford worked in the sanctions of the salary limit due to its financial state, limiting the number of players that they can choose for their integral part of the match.

Allied with a list of injury increase, Salford’s head coach Paul Rowley said this week that the club was currently lowered on 15 players for Sunday’s journey to the ruling Wigan champions, including the new loan signature George Hill.

Salford claimed his first win of the season by beating Huddersfield Giants on March 20, after their exhausted side lost the first four matches.

Star players Marc Sneyd, Brad Singleton and Tim Lafai left the club for the last weeks, but that changed Rowley’s capabilities a little while their financial crisis broke through.

The new consortium, led by Swiss banker Dario Berta, seemed to have secured the future of the club when they ended up taking over in the summer, but have since made a series of excuses for delayed payment.

The statement added: “There is still a difficult situation for everyone in Salford Red Devils.

“Nonetheless, we, as players and staff are still supporting our professionalism, ensuring that the club remains competitive on and off the field.

“We now expect the same level of commitment to those responsible for ensuring the stability of our organization.
