Golden State Warriors fans expected a light trip to Stephen Curry and Co. to achieve their eight consecutive victory after Denver Nuggets Some Jokic, Jamal Murray and Christian Braun, turned off for tonight’s match. However, Russell Westbrook had other ideas, amplifying that he would lead shortened Nuggets to the stunning victory of 114-105.
In an exciting duel between the guards, Westbrook surpassed Curry. The Warriors star fought, managing only 20 points at 21 goals while committing seven turns. In the meantime, 2017 MVP delivered triple doubles, a total of 12 points, 12 rebounds and 16 assists. His 203th career of Triple-Double deserved praise on social media.
“Curry really surpassed Westbrook in 2025,” the user wrote.

“Russell Westbrook is still Russell Westbrook. The role has changed, but the engine and fire are still the same,” one fan wrote.
“Hater say from now? Top 5 pg ever? !! Outplay Curry tonight,” another user claimed.
“Vintage Russ”, another fan said.
“He is the only reason the Nuggets beat today,” another user wrote.
“No, Westbrook still got it,” one fan wrote.
Westbrook was not alone in the orchestration of distress. He received the much needed help from Aaron Gordon, who with the Nuggets gave the best career effect. Gordon erupted for seasons of 38 points in just 37 minutes.
Denver Nuggets were strictly shortened tonight, and Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Julian Strawther, Christian Braun, Trey Alexander and Daron Holmes II were missing. Missing three beginners did not turn away Russell Westbrook and CO. From increasing to the challenge.
“What was the mentality of those who are available to get this victory?” The reporter asked.
“Compete. Just go out and give the best we can and we got a group that can compete with anyone any night if we compete and play hard, and we did that tonight.” Brodie answered.
In addition to Westbrook delivered the role of a veteran leader, holding his teammates engaged and motivated throughout the game.
“(Led) only by talking. Be careful to understand and instill confidence in these guys. They work on the ass to get opportunities like tonight,” Westbrook shared.
With this victory, the Nuggets remain tied to rockets no. 2 Houston on the ladder. More importantly, the victory provides a valuable breathing room, allowing Jokic and Murray to get the rest they need on the eve of their upcoming conflict against #4 Los Angeles Lakers.
