Manchester United fans have received more insights into a set of skills of 17-year-old Chid Obi striker, who has performed in four first team games since last month.
Obi from Arsenal arrived in September with a huge reputation at the level of young people because of his fertile goal. United experienced this with 12 goals in nine appearances in the Premier League under 18 and FA Cup.
He was promoted to a team under the age of 21 in January, before joining the senior side in February.
During this international break, Obi played his first two games for the Danish team under the age of 21, and appearing as a replacement in Friendlies against Poland and Italy-ending in drawing.
He is up to five years younger than some of his teammates and those he has passed, but still managed to impress coach Steffen Hojer.
“He is a very young man. He was there to learn, and we had him with us to evaluate him,” said Hojer Danish publication Journal of Tips. “He makes a good impression. I was extremely pleased when I saw him adapted to the team and how the boys welcomed him.
“He had a really good journey and showed up well. Now, he’s back home to continue working Manchester United And see if she can get a little more time to play there. “
Discussing both special abilities as an attacker, Hojer references the clinical stripe and a positional meaning.
“What you hope with with a player like him is that he gets the opportunity because his absolute key power is in the box and putting the ball in the net,” the coach explained.
“That chance did not come. But he came in and worked with a team in difficult situations, so you couldn’t really expect much more from him.”
