Boehly hints at Chelsea’s ownership in the midst of a discussion of potential remodeling Stamford Bridge

Todd Boehly suggested that the ownership structure of Chelsea could move if there was no consensus on the future of Stamford Bridge.

The club leadership is currently evaluating whether to rearrange its historic home or move to a new location, and Earl’s Court is considered a potential alternative.

The decision is complicated by a limited space available for great construction in London.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Boehly hinted that discussions about the stadium project could determine the long -term dynamics of Chelsea ownership.

“We have to think about what we are trying to achieve in the long run,” Boehly said.

The remodeling or relocation of Stamford Bridge is a significant project, from Clearlake Capital, majority owners of Chelsea, has reportedly committed to happening.

However, if an agreement cannot be reached, it could lead to diversity between the club’s co -owners.

“We have a great opportunity to develop a stadium that we have to throw out. It will be where we are either aligned or in the end we decide to go different ways,” Boehly added.

Tensions among the ownership group have been recorded since the beginning of the season, and both sides have previously expressed interest in the potentially purchased to each other.

When asked about his position in the sale of his stake in the club, Boehly replied: “I think the status quo is something that is okay. I think we got what we learned from each other. And, you know, I think we will really be able to solve it how.”

Despite the past inconsistent, Boehly emphasized that Chelsea’s leadership remains united in their vision for the club, stating their current position in the premiere league as evidence of their progress.

“If you look at the team evolution, we are aligned with what we are trying to do and what we are trying to build,” he said. “It’s a team that is young, it’s a team that has long contracts, and all these things were new.”
