Tuchel wants to ‘play with excitement’ while England prepares for a new era

Thomas Tuchel says he is eager for his England to “play with excitement” as he prepares for his first match in charge of three lions.

The nation will observe the Wembley Stadium as Euro 2024 winners on Friday night on Friday night.

Four days later, three lions will host Latvia in the same arena.

And in front of the games, Tuchel spoke to the media with Harry Kane with the media as the match is still growing.

Fans watched England approaching Gareth Southgate, and the new German boss believes that the reason they never crossed the line that the team was scared to lose.

Now he wants to run a reset through the team and build things from scratch in a different mentality.

He said, “I want us to play with excitement, hunger and joy to win. Acceptance of failure is part of it.

“They reminded me at my first lunch together and at the first training session why I was so excited about work.

“This is because of them. They were extraordinary in the way they behaved and how they communicated as a group. They were amazing on the field, we had quality and very sharp training.

“Everyone was open to giving their best, good energy, good atmosphere.

“I felt excitement in the camp. There is a buzz for the first match tomorrow. I have to make people believe in me.

“I think we are offensively trying to implement style, structure and rhythm. Put players in positions in which they feel comfortable and express themselves, hopefully with our full potential.

“In modern football and the quality of opponents, Albania and respect that you have to give to every opponent, especially outside the ball, you need to remain open to adjust.

“Whether it’s in a structure or in the lineup and we do what is needed. I don’t think we can be unknown and say that we do what we want and do what we do and everyone will adapt to us. This will happen, but everyone will try to find a solution against us and that is why we want to adjust the ball.

“I want an emotional and hungry team. We have to respect the quality of the Premier League and we should reflect it.”

Wembley is considered a football home and is expected to be full for both Tuchel games in March.

Former Chelsea chief admitted to being nervous, which is quite normal, but he is excited that he feels energy inside the stadium.

He added, “I hope I can see what I see every day. What I have seen in the last few days has been amazing and it was happy to watch and be a part of it.

“So we hope that we will translate this energy and this hunger into play tomorrow.

“It’s amazing, we have a full Wembley. It’s very exciting. A little nervously assume, but that’s a part of it.

“I’m always a little nervous before the games, so this one won’t be different. I hope we can prove the point and take the first step.”
