Rory McIlroy committed to play at Texas Children’s Houston Open in what would mark his last start before competing in the Masters.
McIlroy comes down from the back of winning his second player championship after throwing JJ Spaun in the playoffs with three hole at TPC Sawgrass on Monday at TPC Sawgrass.
He later said that he would play another time before heading to Augustus, where the northerner of Irish would once again offer to end his long way to finish Grand Slam in his career.
“I think three weeks came in, it’s a little too much, so I’ll play one of Texas events, whether they are Houston or San Antonio, I’m sure,” Mcilroy said on Monday.
