Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen says he expects to leave the club this summer at the end of his contract.
Eriksen, 33, has played almost 100 games for the club since he signed from Brentford in the summer of 2022.
He wants to continue his lggian Danish career at the World Cup next year, so for now he has excluded his return to his native land.
He said, “I have not heard anything from the club, and so I suppose the cooperation will stop. That’s how I interpret it.

“My contract expires this summer and I’m ready to find something new. I’m fine with that. Where it will be, I haven’t decided yet.
“I wait and see what offers come. I will not make any hectic decisions, but if the right thing comes, I’ll take it.
“The intention is not to stay in England and I do not go to the US, we are not going so far. We would like to stay in Europe, but it’s too early to go home to Denmark.
“My ambition is still playing for the national team, so I don’t feel it’s time to go home.”
Erixen collapsed after a heart arrest during the Euro 2021, but made a complete recovery and played every minute of the Denmark 2022 World Cup campaign.
He has a record 140 caps for his country and scored 43 goals – just nine behind the records shared by Poul Nielsen and former Newcastle Man Jon Dahl Tomasson.
