Boxing results: Austin Williams beat Patricea Volny; Edgar Berlanga achieves a quick knockout

The middle weight of Austin ‘Ammo’ Williams (18-1, 12 ko) won a surprisingly widespread unanimous decision in 12 rounds in the fight that seemed close enough to be on Saturday night against the second level fighter Patrice Volny (19-2, 13 ko) in their headliner at Royjali in Orlando, Florida.

Williams, 28, focused on using his style of volume breaking to surpass the larger, stronger and much older 35-year-old Volny. The rounds were very close, which made it possible to determine who was better than the action. In the end, the judges focused on a strong final processing of Ammo, but the results were without impact because of the way the fight took place.

Hearn’s plan

After the fight, the promoter of Matchroom Eddie Hearn said he wanted to give AMMO Williams title title before the end of the year. He didn’t say what champion he was, but given that the ammunition was ranked with WBA at #7, Hearn will aim for champions Erislandy Lara for Williams to fight.

I don’t see Ammo beat him to Lara, Carlos Adames WBC champion, and especially not Ibf/WBO champion Janibek Aimkhanuly. These guys hit too much and have too many talent for still very green ammunition Williams. He struggles as if it is muscular and for some reason it cannot generate strength.

“It was by far the best victory of his career,” Promotor Eddie Hearn said about Ammo Williams. “Medium weight division is now dead. I think 2025. It’s time for that man to fight for the world title.”

Edgar Berlanga crushed Gonzalez-portiz

In the second notable fight on the card, the super middleweight category or should I say Cruiserweight, Edgar Berlang (23-1, 18 ko) destroyed Jonathan Gonzalez-Grtiz (20-1-1, 16 KOS) in the first round.

Berlanga Last September lowered the loss from Canel Alvarez, and from his fleshy, knightly body weight you could have said that he ate good from “Bag” He got that for that fight.

Berlanga was 193 pounds for the fight, but tonight he looked even harder, which was a 35-year-old Gonzalez-portizo there was no chance of winning; Not that he would ever have a chance for any weight. This was designed mismatch.

Strong tattooed Berlang has lowered Gonzalez-port three times with hard blows to the head. The judge came in and waved it after a third blow. The weather was at 2:31 first. Gonzalez-port looked bad out of shape, showing a skinny middle cross section from the release of the ring over a solid ten years.
