Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca says his side will be able to play differently and hit Arsenal on a holiday on Sunday.
Maresca’s side was rejected at halftime victory of their conference league Copenhagen on Thursday nightBecause they failed to have any effort on goal, despite dominance with the ball.
Some fans were frustrated and in side approaches in the Premier League against Leicester, but Maresac believes that they will be able to be more dynamic against runner -up arsenal.
“The intention will be the one (control the ball),” he said. “And if we are able or not, it depends a lot on the opponent.
“They just told me that Pedro Net (against Copenhagen) made a sprint in 90 minutes. The reason why we sat on the edge of our box.
“So, if we plan to play (against Arsenal) sitting and waiting, sure that our attackers and wings will make 20 sprints for 60, 70 minutes.
“When you play most of your game on the opposite side, there is no room for this kind of sprint.
“Our plan is to control the game, but Arsenal is a team that will press high and try to be aggressive, and we will probably have more space to attack.”
Maresca confirmed that Robert Sanchez would start in the goal for the rest of the Premier League season, despite the fact that Filip Jorgensen played against Copenhagen.
“I think Robert took a few days off or at least mentally rest,” Maresca said. “He came back and hope we won’t change until the end of (season).”
