Former Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, returned to the winner’s housing on Thursday, while Horse Caldwell Potter won a limited handicap Jack Richards Novices, as Paul Nicholls brought his 50th winner at Cheltenham Festival.
Running in the colors of the late John Hales, Caldwell Potter led from off off, beating Ken Budds 125-1 with another outsider, O’Moore Park in third place.

Ferguson, 83, said, “You can’t buy how I feel now, it’s fantastic.
“The difference in football is if you buy an expensive player, you have enough time to evaluate them, elaborate on the type of player you need and what will suit your team and if they have a character – you can’t do it with a horse, you can’t look at their character, so it’s a gambling.
“With a football player, it’s a long -term thing, they can start at 17 and play until they are 41 years old, like Ryan Giggs, while with a horse, when they get to 10, 11, 12, you start to wonder how long it will last.
“No matter how long this horse lasts, it has done something that we are so proud of.”

The six-year-old air of rights started as a chance for 16-1 in beginners and after a fake start, he launched a hill to raise a half-length victory.
Blackmore, riding his 17th festival winners, said, “It’s an amazing feeling. I recently read an interview with JP McManus when he said some people were born happier than others and I definitely feel like I was born luckily that I started here anyway.
“I was lucky with the horses I had to drive, and this mare was another. She traveled the race and jumped well and got her head in front of the right time.”
Since we have to wait until the third day of the festival for the winner, Blackmore said: “You can’t lose faith, we’re only half a week. We have been a little spoiled for the last few years because I walked home with the winner under the belt every Tuesday. That was not the case this year, but I’m so grateful to get it today.”
Still, she didn’t have long to wait for the next one, as Bob Olinger beat last year’s winner Teahupoo in an exciting fight for obstacles.
“I’m happy to be on this horse. It’s great. There are so many speeds and you could use it, “she said.
Victory for Jagwar and the fact that you endure
