Virgil Van Dijk received a lucrative offer to join the Saudi Arabian side of Al-Hilal, states in a report at the French Daily L’Equipe.
Liverpool Captain is not contractual at Anfield at the end of the season and is free to talk to clubs from abroad from January 1.
L’Equipe says Van Dijk is considering a contract worth £ 320,000 a week.
The 33-year-old is one of the three key players of Liverpool whose contracts expire in the summer, along with Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Alexander-Arnold is likely to join Real Madrid on a free transfer, while the future of the top salad of Salah remains uncertain.
Speaking of his own situation after removing the Liverpool Champions League in the hands of Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night, Van Dijk insisted that he had no idea where he would play next season.
He said to The Times, “I have no idea. I still have no idea at the moment. Honestly, I have no idea right now.
“It’s not waiting. Nothing on hold. Just … I’m constantly saying the same.
“Listen, there are 10 games and that’s full of focus. If there are news, you will know that guys. I don’t even know yourself. Everyone knows that there are some talks behind the scenes, but this is about it.
“Currently, I don’t even know what happens next year. If anyone says he knows, they lie your face.”
