Liverpool Ready for ‘Complete’ PSG Test

Liverpool manager Arne says that Paris St-Germain is ‘the most complete team we have so far faced’ on the eve of their second leg of the Champions League in the last 16 outcasts.

PSG was top-notch last week and forced Alisson to have a high career effect before the late goal by Harvey Elliotta Reds brought a narrow victory of 1-0.

Groove promised that his side would be more proactive on Anfield on Tuesday night And there is no intention of sitting on their slim advantage.

“Is there a difference (lead 1-0)? No. We’re trying to play every game to try to win,” he said.

“That’s what we tried to do last week, our intention was not so low all the time (deep).

“We want to play another game tomorrow, the intention is always the same – we will not go for pulling out.

“In Manchester City, it was not a situation, it was not a situation on PSG. But we take confidence from our home game against the city where we had a lot more and that was much more of a game.”

Asked if this would require their best effect under him, he added: “Yes. I think so. This is the most complete team we have faced so far.

“We have faced Arsenal and City and they are not big margins, but the intensity they (PSG) play in combination with quality – and they are one of the richest clubs – and a great manager who is not easy to play against.”

The slot was enhanced by the return of Cody Gakpo striker after injury. The winners of the tie will face Club Brugge or Aston Villa in the quarterfinals.

PSG chief Luis Enrique said his side couldn’t wait for the European atmosphere at Anfield.

“No player on the team will want to play here. It’s a legendary stadium in football history in Europe,” Enrique said.

“It’s a huge motivation for players and as a team. We want to show that we are capable of playing a good game at the Liverpool stadium.”
