Liverpool wore Adidas sets from 1985 to 1996 and again from 2006 to 2012.

Liverpool Executive Director Billy Hogan said: “Everyone at the club is incredibly excited to wait for Adidas to the LFC family. We enjoyed fantastic success in the past and created some of the most famous LFC sets of all time.

“Adidas and Liverpool share the ambition of success and we could no longer be excited to have collaborated again as we look forward to creating incredible kits to help achieve performance. We would like to thank Nike for their support in the last five years and wish them good for the future. “

Previous kits that Adidas made some of the “greatest ever created”

Bjørn Gulden, Executive Director in Adidas, added: “We are extremely excited that Adidas and Liverpool Football Club are once again joining. The club is one of the biggest and most famous names in world football with a huge fans base.

“The jerseys that are worn during previous partnerships are some of the biggest ever created. It is an honor to give players top technology to play at the highest level and look forward to creating more classics for fans.”
