Real Madrid moved at the point of points with La Liga Barcelona leaders after securing a strenuous 2-1 victory over Ray Vallecano in Bernabeu.

Napoli secured a vital 2-1 victory over Fiorentine to re-become their challenge for Serie A title, ending running with five matches.
