Barcelona watches the summer movement of transmission Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraeswhich remains on Arsenal and Manchester City radar.
Sources with a careful understanding of the situation have been informed Grasp This Barca considers it a “right time” to try to sign Guimaraes, who has long been on his radar as a potential replacement for Frenkie de Jong.
The previous interest did not lead to concrete efforts to sign Guimaraes, however, due to the fact that De Jong ended up staying at the Nou camp, even due to interests such as Manchester United and Chelsea.
Now, however, Barcelona wants to try this summer as his time to enter Guimaraes because De Jong’s contract should expire in 2026.
Sources close to the situation describe the next few weeks as “key” for the Catalan giants to determine if this job is realistic for them after well -established financial problems in recent years.
Although Newcastle will surely fight to keep an important player like Guimaraes, it is possible that the Brazilian international would not be as important as someone like Alexander Isak.
It is expected that Isaac will attract a lot of interest this summer, and if NUFC is selling Guimaraes instead, it could financially help them and put them in a stronger position to fight for Isak and maybe improve their contract.
Arsenal and Man City have previously shown interest in Guimarae, but it is currently not certain if he will return to the 27-year-old this summer.
AND Gunneri are in advanced conversations about signing Martin Zubimedi from Real Sociedad, while City shifted focus to midfielder Atalanta Eerson, Grasp understand.
