Sunshine and Fog – Bionicoldguy

We had a few days of sunshine last week so I took some good rides. My group rode around Chesbro and UVAS reservoirs on Tuesday, returning on Casa Loma Road. After Casa Loma, there was a long time on Uvas Road. Flat, with some rolling hills and remote paradise!

My backup power assist kit arrived Wednesday. Last November Swytch There was a great “Black Friday” sale and I was able to buy a backup kit with two batteries. Anyway, I’ve been thinking about buying a backup battery, which is no more expensive than the individual battery. Now, I have a backup in case my current motor has ever emanated, or in the future I can add help to other bikes as needed. Currently, I’m happy to get the extra battery which greatly expands my range. I tested it on a longer ride on Friday and Saturday and found that I can assist for more than 3 1/2 hours, or over 50 miles now. The sun party ended on Saturday’s trip, which was very foggy. Then the rain arrived yesterday morning, so I cut the ride short and finished the ride on a fixed bike indoors. It should rain in the next few days.

Open space on Saturday at Coyote Ridge on the top of Malech Road. This should be a nice panoramic view of Santa Cruz people, but there is too much fog.
