The tank (30-0, 28 ko) is in a situation where the victory has to look spectacular to get merit from the fans, because the struggle is considered to be inconsistent.

Gervont chose Roach (25-1-1, 10 from the Super Featherweight Division) in a controversial move. He bypassed the fight that the boxer public was interested in seeing Davis fighting Shakur Stevenson, Raymond Muratalla, Keyshawn Davis, Edwin de Los Santos, Andy Cruz and Abdullah Mason.
Tank says he may have three fights left before he retreats. So, if he is serious, this is his retirement tour, choosing the guys he wants to fight with, but ignoring what fans want to see in person.
