Brighton ‘will give everything’ to win the FA Cup

Brighton’s manager Fabian Hurzeler says his side will be fully focused on attempting to win the FA Cup this season – starting against Newcastle on Sunday.

Seaguli have finished ninth and sixth in the last two seasons, and are currently lying in eighth place in the Premier League, only four points from the best four.

But they have yet to win a great honor, losing the FA Cup finals in Manchester United in 1983, and Hurzeler says success must be a priority.

He said, “First of all, it’s my job. I always try to give everything for the club and, of course, I always want the club to be the most successful we can be.

“It’s my job, along with staff and players, and that’s why we try.

“We promise everyone that we will try to give everything on the field and beside the field to be proud, but we cannot promise that we will win the title.

This is the thing we work on and what we try to do in our daily behavior and then we will see what will come in the future. “

Brighton set off for a Sunday match in good shape with four wins in a row after rejected 7-0 in Nottingham Forest in early February.

Newcastle fought in the middle of the week without talisman striker Alexander Isak, but Hurzeler says his side will prepare as if the Swede will be appropriate.

He said: “He is (Isaac) a special player – a player who can make a difference. You can’t replace such a player because there is no team of two, three or four players of this quality.

“Therefore, it is a different game if they will not play, but the thing is that we do not know now, so we really have to prepare ourselves as if it will start. We have to prepare for his actions, for his behavior and the way we want to defend it together as a group.
