Archie Gray believes that Tottenham has the main opportunity to end his 17-year waiting for silver accessories with a win in the Europa League this season.
Despite the challenging domestic campaign – in which Spurs sit in 13th place in the Premier League and eliminate from both domestic Cup competitions – European success remains a realistic target.
Many bookmakers are currently evaluating Tottenham as the favorites to raise the Europa League trophy, and the last 16 conflicts against AZ Alkmaar should have started next week.
Gray, 18, was an extraordinary performer in what was a difficult season for Spurs. His efforts were recognized on Thursday when he was named a male young player of the year at the London Football Award award.
Speaking after receiving his award, Gray opened a long -lasting drought of the club, which comes from their 2008 Cup triumph.
“This is not something we are talking about because we know that the opportunity we have is the Golden, especially in the Europa League, with that we have and people who come back from injuries, we know we can change that (trophy record),” said Gray.

“We are focused on the next game and taken away. It is (win in the Europa League) definitely a goal, but we don’t go. It’s the next Europa League match, but we just take it every game. “
Ever since he switched from Leeds United last summer, Gray has made 35 appearances, often playing outside the place as a central back, not in his preferred role in the middle of the field.
England under the age of 21 also praised the impact of Heung-my club captain, attributing to him to help him settle in Spurs.
“He is definitely a world class player and as a person is probably one of the most beautiful guys I’ve ever met,” Gray added.
“Ever since I first moved to the club, he always sat and had breakfast with me every morning, for a new player at a club-you see players like Sonny, Madders (James Maddison), everyone on the team to be Fer-not really expected to get out of the way of a new 18-year-old who is from the club club.
“To be fair to them, they helped me to be really good and everyone was amazing with me.”
