Unai Emery believes that Aston Villa should not be candidates for winning the FA Cup before he is facing Cardiff in the fifth round.
Villans were only two games from semi -finals after shipping the rival rival league West Ham and Tottenham and they look a strong stake to reach the last stage after a favorable domestic draw against the fight for the championship.
Numerous large foreign packaging has already been sent to the tournament, with Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea lost in previous circles.
But nevertheless, Emery, whose fairy is fighting for Europe, does not believe they are one of the stronger candidates who will go completely.
On the eve of the tie against blue birds, Emery said, “We are not candidates. Why? Because there are other teams with more opportunities than us to win in this competition.
“It’s a way to a trophy and that’s a way to Europe. The winner plays next year in the Europa League.
“We have three ways (to enter Europe): Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup. We are not candidates in the FA Cup to win this trophy.
“Try to compete in this competition and have a way to trophy is very important. And then the prestige. Every player, club, coaches – everyone would like to try to get a prestige. “
🗣️ About our opponents: “First, we have respect for the competition. Second, we respect every team that competes in this circle. Of course, Cardiff is a team team, but we have our experiences two years ago with Stevenage, for example. ” pic.twitter.com/wbxhlbrll

Villina’s inconsistent season may have been perfectly summed up from their last three games after impressing the draw against Liverpool and victory over Chelsea before breaking them 4-1 Crystal Palace on Tuesday.
They were more impressive in the FA Cup after glowing in victories over the West Ham and Spurs.
Emery added: “We are consistent this year in this competition. At home against West Ham and Tottenham, we played great two matches and we won.
“Tomorrow is another opportunity to continue to be consistent. Our demands are in different ways, individually and collectively, to be convinced, they are comfortable, trying to convey to our supporters to our wishes in this competition.
“We are not candidates, but in case we can continue in this competition, we will be closer to the competition for something important.”
On Friday, the opponents added: “First, we have respect for the competition. Second, we respect every team that competes in this circle.
“Of course, Cardiff is a team team, but we have our experiences two years ago with Stevenage, for example. We were not successful last year and two years ago.
“We play at home in Villa Park and we have to feel strong. Being consistent is our challenge.”
Emery said Tyrone Mings and Emiliano Martinez doubted Cardiff’s game, and Mings missed the game in Palace before their star guard was withdrawn at halftime.
At the fitness of the rest of his team, Emery added: “Barkley is not for tomorrow. Onana, I doubt. Kamara, I doubt. They are close to returning, but we will see this afternoon.
“Little, sick, but hopefully it can recover for tomorrow. Being sick is different, but it depends.
“More or less, this is the news of the players, how will we be tomorrow.”
